How the index works

Discovery and tagging

Every night the app queries the public DexScreener search API with a list of theme keywords ("doge", "pepe", "agent", "trump", …) and records every token it finds. A token is tagged with a theme when its name or symbol contains one of that theme's keywords. A token can carry several tags: "Artificial Inu" is both dogs and AI.

Tokens are never deleted. If DexScreener stops returning data for one, it is marked inactive and sinks to the bottom of the listing. The date a token was first seen never changes; it powers the "new this week" count on every theme page, which is the earliest visible sign that a new meta is forming.

Listing

Theme pages list every tagged token sorted by liquidity, with no minimum. Nothing is curated, flagged, scored or filtered. This is an index, not a safety tool.

Index inclusion

A token counts toward this index only if liquidity ≥ $100K, 24h volume ≥ $50K and the pair is at least 72 hours old. Constituents are the top 25 such tokens by liquidity, one per symbol per chain (the most liquid listing is kept), equal-weighted, re-selected daily.

Thinly traded tokens produce meaningless percentage moves that would distort an equal-weighted average, so the inclusion bar is purely arithmetic. Pairs without a known creation time cannot prove their age and are not included.

Index math

Composition changes daily, so the index is not computed from absolute market caps. Each day the index return is the equal-weighted mean of the constituents' 24-hour price change, and the index is chained:

index_today = index_yesterday × (1 + mean_24h_change_of_todays_constituents)

Every theme and group starts at 1000 on its first snapshot. Group indexes use the union of their themes' constituents, deduplicated by token, so overlap between groups is expected.

Data

Prices, liquidity, volume and 24h change come from the public DexScreener API and are captured once per day (UTC). Where a token trades in several pairs, the pair with the highest liquidity is used. The outbound link on every token page is the DexScreener pair page.
